Founded in 1993, RTE Group is a strategic real estate broker and consultant, with a
focus on data centers and technology facilities. Our expertise, which intricately weaves
together the disciplines of real estate, engineering, information technology,
telecommunications, and regulatory compliance, is the result of multiple engagements
for enterprises, service providers, and investors in the development, leasing and/or
purchase of data center facilities, including day-to-day operation of multiple data center
facilities.

cost efficiency in procurement of data center and related facilities. Our knowledge goes
beyond the understanding of a customer’s key data center requirements to include the
technical evaluation of a facility, analysis of physical and financial risk factors, analysis
of total cost of ownership, and leasing/transactional requirements unique to this type of
facility. This enables us to identify the best facilities for our customers that will reliably
meet service life requirements, even in the face of constantly changing technologies.
As such, we are often called upon to supplement a company’s internal technology
personnel and/or its existing real estate brokerage firm(s).
In addition to our technology-focused expertise, RTE Group understands that there are
critical contractual differences between a data center lease and/or purchase and
traditional real estate transactions. For example, data center implementation requires
careful consideration of use clauses, appurtant rights, utility service, ownership of
improvements and fixtures, financial responsibility, casualty, and a multitude of other
business and legal considerations.
